When Should I Begin?
The future is something that can happen or that we plan for. Although we can not plan and prepare for everything in life, our lives are significantly improved when we plan and prepare for our future. So when should someone begin to plan?
The truth is that the sooner you start the better, especially when deciding on the competitive field of healthcare

I Want to Be a Doctor. Can I?
One out of every four students wants to be a healthcare professional whether a doctor, nurse, or paramedic. Approximately 25% (or more than 1 million) students each year have hopes and aspirations of becoming a doctor (or health professional). Only 1% of them will have the opportunity to become physicians.
Among underrepresented minorities (African American, Hispanic, and Native American) students combined, only 0.1% will achieve that goal.
The doctor (health professional) road to success is built upon knowing what is needed to be competitive, making the right career choice for you and pursuing your goal with perseverance, persistence and patience. We created the National Premed 101 program to help you answer the question.
