Getting Started Early = Success
How We Help
Simply put, there are a lot of options available for young people interested in careers in healthcare. Medicine is a wonderful profession but, if students don’t know about the other areas of healthcare they could miss out on the best option and opportunity for them. The answer to the question of how do you ‘stand out in the crowd’ is to be informed and be prepared. .
For Students - Today in Healthcare Education
In the environment of over 1400’s colleges/universities providing the training and education for students interested in healthcare, the average high school and college student will have to begin to consider what career they are truly interested in pursuing and the best method to get there.
Students that participate in our programs get so much more than just textbook education, they are challenged to begin to think like doctors. We require that all of our students take a professional conduct workshop that includes review of Code of Professional Conduct, Patient Privacy and Confidentiality Policy Statement. Students also participate in Medical Diagnostic Training (Taking patient history, Vital signs, Laboratory tests, X-rays, Physical examination), participate in hospital clinical rotations (in Acute care, Emergency medicine, Critical care and intensive medicine, Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, Geriatrics, and Oncology), and learn Advanced Concepts of Patient Care (Listening to the patient, Medical empathy, Hospital-based infections), and learn the Fundamentals of Pre-Professional and Professional Education.
Our Goal - To Help You
PHD International was created to be the resource and the support necessary to make the important and life changing decisions for your career in healthcare. We created the National Premed 101 Project to provide students in high school and college with answers and allow them to develop the questions needed to make those preliminary and final decisions.
A Company That Uses Partnership - To Help Students
We partner with professional health associations, local colleges/universities, hospitals, hospices, healthcare systems and healthcare professional societies to provide a special opportunity for high school and college students interested in careers in the health professions through our exclusive interactive professional development process.
